InsertDraftingText


The Text command enables to add a text to the document.

When you start the command, the selection list displays the following options:

Origin/ 2 Points              Enables you to select one or more positioning points and to specify the type of justification both for single and multiline texts.
The selector will change to 2 Points when justifications requiring two points are selected in the drop-down list: Fit & stretch, Align & scale. All the other justification types will cause the selector to show Origin and require just one input point.

Entity Properties Displays the Entity Properties dialog box that enables you to edit the text properties while creating it.
Text from Dictionary Offers a set of predefined texts organized for two different contexts:


    Document properties
     
    Part properties
When the node is expanded, a dialog box shows up, displaying of all the available predefined text for the selected context. You can double-click any of the list items to make it the current text content.
Multiline text position Enables you to position the multiline text with respect to a point or a cell (bounding box with four corners). Click here for the text movements in a bounding box with respect to various origin justifications.

  • After the placement of the multiline text, one origin handle and the 4 bounding box corner handles will be displayed. Depending on the origin justification, the origin handle might override any of the box corners.

  • While dragging the origin handle, the entire text is moved coherently. However, while dragging any of the box corner handles, the box is stretched and text gets wrapped coherently.

As soon as the text is defined with the possible justifications, a preview is displayed. You can interactively check and modify both the text position and its properties.

In the 2D environment (Drawing), the application supports common True Type fonts. A set of vector fonts is also available and can be used instead of True Type fonts in the following situations:
