The following types of toolbars are available:
The default toolbars come inbuilt in the software and are available when the first time the program starts. You can customize and restore default toolbars. The toolbar customization command can be selected in one of the following ways:
The Customize dialog box is displayed from which you can control the visualization, delete and reset the default toolbars provided by the program. The Toolbars and Commands tabs enable you to perform the following operations relevant to default toolbars:
A custom toolbar is a user defined toolbar. You can create, customize and delete custom toolbars and use them in the same way as the program default toolbars. The toolbar customization command can be selected from the Customize dialog box by which you can do the following:
Some typical toolbar customization functions can be accessed by clicking the right mouse button. To see what these functions are, click here.
The Dimension Properties toolbar enables you to quickly edit or define a limited set of properties of dimensions and texts. The tool is designed to offer you a quick access to the most used dimension and text properties. The program comes with a default Dimension Properties toolbar, but it provides you with the tools to customize it and create new ones.
When you rest the cursor on the toolbar commands, the program displays a tooltip with a short description of the command.
At the bottom of customizable drop-down lists you find the Edit command that enables you to edit the list of values available. The program makes the changes immediately available to you and stores them permanently. The toolbar commands act differently when there are preselected entities and when there are not.
When you preselect a dimension or text, the toolbar reflects the properties of the entity; when you select multiple entities, only common values are displayed, while the others are blanked. Non applicable properties are disabled.
When you change a property, all preselected entities are assigned the value you have specified.
When no entity is selected, if you use one of the commands in the Dimension Properties toolbar to set a property to a certain value, the entities you then insert acquire the value you have specified until you reset it.
The properties you set with the Dimension Properties toolbar commands override the current style property values for the entities involved. The overridden properties are displayed in bold in the
Entity Properties dialog box. Use the Reset to Style command to restore the entity style if you need to. |
The New Toolbar Object command enables you to create new Dimension Properties toolbars and to customize the existing ones. When you start the command, the program displays a dialog box from which you can perform the following operations relevant to Dimension Properties toolbars:
Note that although the New Toolbar Object is the only tool that enables you to create a new Dimension Properties toolbar and add any dimension and text properties to it, you can add standard buttons to it as if it were a Custom toolbar.
