Assembly e-Learning list
Below the complete list of self-tutorial videos available on Assemblies. Follow the links to discover all functionalities of Assemblies in ThinkDesign.
- Introduction to assemblies (e-Tutorial): local and X-ref components, create, replace, derive, cross component and assembly features, matings, component creation in the assembly, exiting component reuse.
- Introduction to assemblies (e-Training): the task introduces the concepts of assembly modeling in top-down (from assembly to component) and bottom-up (from component to assembly) modes. In the task you will learn how to create a local component, create an external reference, insert an existing component, deal with matings.
- Mating of Components: the task shows how to apply matings to assembly components. Specifically: mating, visual bookmarks and assembly animation.
- Interference Checking: the task shows how manage Collision Detection and Interference Checking. In the task you will deal with interference between two groups of components, interference among components belonginig to the same group, interference among components belonging to several groups, collision detection management
- Light Representations: the task shows how to make working with large assemblies much easier by using Light Representations. You will deal with: light representation of an X-ref component, light representation types, creation of a new light representation, activation of an existing light representation.
- Symbolic References: the task shows how to define and retrieve entities using symbolic references in order to optimize the management of matings. You will deal with symbolic references of faces, edges and vertices, symbolic references of datum planes, axes and points, symbolic references of profile curves and vertices.
- Visual Bookmarks: the task shows how to save and retrieve document visual appearance through visual bookmarks. You will deal with: visual bookmark characteristics, creation, activation, research, export and import.
- Exploding an assembly: the task shows how to create exploded views of an assembly. You will dela with automatic assembly explosion, manual assembly explosion, exploded views, step by step explosion.
- Annotations: the task shows how to insert annotations to get a better assembly description. You will deal with: annotation creation, visualization, editing.
- Animation: in this task you will learn about creation of an animation (evolutions – changes), AVI file creation, collision management, evolution of the camera.
