Insert Curve 3D from 2D Curves
The 3D Curve from 2D Curves command creates a 3D curve from two plane curves lying in different planes, based on the projection of the 2D curves.
First of all you will have to select the two curves: 1st Planar Curve and 2nd Planar Curve.
If the projection of one of the two curves is a line, it does not identify a single plane. In that case, a warning message is displayed. You must specify the projection direction, using the Direction drop-down list that shows up in the selection list.
Note When the selected curve is a line, the direction to be selected must be the normal to one of the plane containing the line. If it is not, an appropriate warning is displayed. |
The Associative Mode check box enables you to create curves which retain a link to the surfaces/curves they derive from.
Furthermore, an additional option is now available under More Options: High quality approximation.
