Controlling Surface Continuity

In the Surface through Control Points command, you can control the surface continuity by applying positional, tangency or curvature continuity conditions.

Proceed as follows:

1 Select one or more rows of control points of the surface you want to modify (see Edit Control Points to know how to select a whole row of control points).

2 Select the Continuity constraints check box under Constraints.

3 In the U0, U1, V0, V1 drop-down lists, select the type of continuity you want to apply at the endpoints:

None — no continuity constraints

Position — positional continuity
Tangent — tangency continuity
Curvature — curvature continuity.

4 The continuity type you specified will be applied.
