Matching an initial and a target curve, preserving another one
This is the final result you will get when accomplishing this task:

- Load file "GM_EX_01.e3" and start the Advanced GSM command. In the selection list you will see red or yellow icons, since nothing has been selected yet:

- Now, referring to The Advanced GSM Command User Interface, you will have the following:
- What to Modify: the surface
- What to Preserve: nothing (we'll do it later)
- What to Match: the blue curve (initial) with the red one (target). How: Target position.

When you click
to confirm your selections, the surface will be modified according to the matching condition you defined:

As we didn't set any preserving condition, the surface "moved" from the green curve:

- To have the resulting surface still through the green curve, repeat steps 1 and 2 and add the preserving condition.
What to Preserve: the green curve. How: Keep position.

You will get the following result:

And as you can see the surface is still through the green boundary curve:
