InsertSolidSubdivision Solid from Sections

The Subdivision Solid from Sections command enables to create a Subdivision solid by placing sections on entities. While entities could be a set of solids, surfaces, curves and meshes, it is particularly useful to quickly create a smooth shape from a low quality set of data, such as a noisy mesh.

In order to create a Subdivision solid proceed as follows.

  1. It applies to solids, surfaces, curves and meshes.

  2. Drive curve / Number of section.

  3. Distribution.

  4. Parametric / Curvilinear Custom

  5. Direction.

  6. Offset.

  7. Close.

  8. Default Close side

  9. Extend sides.

  10. Sides extension (in current unit) The same with Extension factor checked Extension is compatible with closure

  11. Max. presumed distance.

  12. Max. at zero (disable) Max. set to a value different to zero

Generated subdivision solid can be modified using the Modify Subdivision Solid command.
