1 | When you start the Smart Dimension command, the program prompts you to select an entity. Click to select a line or edge.

2 | Move the cursor over another linear entity that isn't parallel with the first entity. ![]() Notice that the program displays an angular dimension which moves as you move the cursor. Note that if you move the cursor off the second entity or onto a Snap point, the dimension type changes from an angular to a linear dimension. |
3 | Click to select the second entity. |
4 | You are prompted to enter the origin.
To create the angular dimension, simply specify the location of the dimension line. ![]() As soon as you select the point, the program immediately creates the angular dimension measuring the angle formed by the two lines. ![]() |
Properties
By clicking on the Properties Option, the Entity Properties window shows up, that enables you to control appearance of the Dimension and Text entities.
