Format: Dimension Format options

Prefix Enables you to specify and display the Prefix for the dimension. It can be placed either to the Left or Above the dimension.
Suffix Enables you to specify and display the Suffix for the dimension. It can be placed either to the Right or Below the dimension.
Tolerance Enables you to specify and display the tolerances for the dimensions created.
The Value expression sub-category in this option enables you to define the tolerance settings.
Precision Enables you to specify and display the page containing parameters controlling rips and corner closures.
Symmetric Enables you to include a symmetric symbol as part of the dimension created.

Prefix

Position Enables you to select the desired position for the Prefix placement. The two options that are available are:
Left
Above
Suffix

Position Enables you to select the desired position for the Suffix placement. The two options that are available are:
Right
Below
Tolerance

The drop-down list in this option enables you to control the display of the tolerances in four possible ways.

+/- Enables you to specify the absolute value for the tolerance.
Tolerance Label Enables you to specify one of the ISO tolerance symbol labels specified in the Isoq.dat and Isos.dat files to automatically calculate and add the specified tolerance values to the dimension.
Representation Enables you to determine whether the tolerances are to be expressed as Deviations or Limits.
Value Enables you to specify the numerical value for the tolerance.

Two Values Enables you to specify two values for the tolerance, that shows the range for the dimension.
Value Above Enables you to specify the Upper value for the tolerance.
Value Below Enables you to specify the lower value for the tolerance.

Limits Enables you to specify the tolerance value in absolute terms.
Tolerance Label Enables you to specify one of the ISO tolerance symbol labels specified in the Isoq.dat and Isos.dat files to automatically calculate and add the specified tolerance values to the dimension.
Limit Arrangement Enables you to determine whether the tolerances arrangement has to be Horizontal or Vertical.
Representation Enables you to determine whether the tolerances are to be expressed as Deviations or Limits.
Value Above Enables you to specify the Upper value for the tolerance.
Value Below Enables you to specify the lower value for the tolerance.

Basic Enables you to specify the tolerance value in a nominal way i.e., the dimension value will be enclosed in a small box, without any tolerance limits.
Tolerance Label Enables you to specify one of the ISO tolerance symbol labels specified in the Isoq.dat and Isos.dat files to automatically calculate and add the specified tolerance values to the dimension.

None Enables you to display only the dimension without any tolerances.

Value Expression

This drop-down list in this option enables you to define the tolerance settings separately for linear and angular dimensions.

Mode Enables you to choose whether to specify the tolerance values as Deviations or as Limits.
Measure Enables you to select the type of dimension the Mode choice will apply to: Linear or Angular.
Precision

This option helps you to display the dimension measure to the desired precision.

Decimal Digits Enables you to specify the number of decimal digits the dimension can have using the Value and Tolerance options.

For the above created image, the Value and the Tolerance options, under the Decimal Digits, have values as 2 and 3 respectively.
Symmetric

This check box in the option enables you to control the display of drop-down list of symmetric symbol.

Symmetric symbol If the check box is selected, you can use the drop-down list to Enable or Disable the symmetric symbol as a part of the dimension created.

For the above created image, the Symmetric symbol check box is selected and the Enable option is selected from the drop-down list.
