Creating an ellipse given 2 vertices and 1 point

The 2 vertices and 1 point method of the Ellipse command enables you to create an ellipse defined by two vertices and passing through a third point.

After starting the Ellipse command, proceed as follows.

1 In the Type drop-down list, select 2 vertices and 1 point.

2 Specify the two vertices and the through point by clicking or using Snap.

To change the selected point, right-click on Point, select Reset in the context menu and specify the new center.

3 Click or to confirm your selections and create the curve.

Click to discard your changes.
