After starting the Split Surface command, load file "UVSplit.e3" and proceed as follows.
| 1 | In the Type drop-down list, select UV Parameter, to split the surface contemporarily along an U and a V isoparametric curves. |
| 2 | Select the surface.

| 3 | A handle and two mini-dialog boxes are displayed:
 You can select the isoparametric curves to be used as cutting lines either by explicitly specifying the U and V values or by dragging the handle. A preview is immediately displayed.

| 4 | Click  or  to confirm your selections and split the surface.
 Click  to discard your changes. |
