Connecting two surfaces

To create a surface which connects two existing surfaces, you will simply have to select the two boundaries to be connected. You can also define the surface weights and invert the direction of the second boundary, if you do not want the resulting connecting surface to twist, which can happen if the two selected boundaries have opposite directions.

Once you started the Connect command:

1 Select the two boundaries of the surfaces you wish two connect

and end selection by right-clicking and selecting Continue in the context menu. (To change the selected boundaries, right-click on Boundaries in the selection list and select Reset.) The preview of the resulting surface is displayed.

2 You can set the Weights of the two surfaces to connect: note that the boundary with the higher weight will have more influence on the resultant surface.
If the two selected boundaries do not have the same direction, the resulting surface might be twisted. Select the Invert check box to avoid twisting.

3 Click or to confirm your selections and create the surface.
