Set environment colors

1. When you select the command, the program displays the Colors and Materials dialog box.
   
   

   This dialog box shows the color set associated with the current document. The color set consists of both the entity colors (a maximum of 63) and the environment colors (the background color and colors used for highlighting entities).
   
   

2. In Environment colors, choose the color to be defined from the drop-down list.

   You can choose among the following environment colors:

   • Background color — the background color of the drawing
   • Alt. background color — the background color of the two profile environments when creating or editing 2D and 3D profiles
   • Selection highlight color — the color of entities that are currently being selected
   • Alt. selection highlight color — the color of already selected entities
   • Dynamic highlight color  — the color used to highlight entities when they are under the cursor
   
   
3. Click the adjacent Edit button. The program displays the Color dialog box, containing the color palette of your computer system.
   
   
4. Click to select one of the colors in the Basic colors or Custom colors area, or click Define custom colors >> to display an enlarged color definition environment so that you can specify a new custom color.
   
   
5. After selecting the color, click OK to close the Color dialog box, then click OK or Apply in the Colors and Materials dialog box to accept the new environment color.
