Creating a Half Break View

Undo/Redo Buffer Reset
The Half Break on View/Section command causes the think3 application to reset its Undo/Redo buffer. Once you start this command, you will not be able to undo it or any previous operation.

After starting the Half Break on View/Section command, proceed as follows:

1 From the Reference Point On drop-down list choose:
View       to break the view
Section   to break the sectioned view
2 Select a reference point on the view for which the break should be applied.

The program immediately displays a selection window, whose size changes as you move the cursor.

This box represents the area of the view that will remain when you create the broken view; the moveable side of the box represents the cut line. Notice that the box is fixed to one side of the view (the Left, Right, Top, or Bottom).
3 From the Region drop-down list, choose the side of the view from which you want to define the broken view — Left, Right, Top, or Bottom.
Once you have chosen the bound types, a handle/mini-dialog box pops up to enable you to define the geometric parameter either by dragging the handle or by entering the measure value.
4 Drag the handle or enter the measure value in the mini-dialog box.
5 Click or to confirm your selections and create the half broken view.

Click to discard your selections.

Note

The appearance of the cut line is controlled by the Styles settings on the Break Lines category of the Options/Properties dialog box.

Other factors which affect the appearance of the view, such as the visibility of its view name and the visibility of specific types of entities, are controlled from the various categories under Drawing of the Options/Properties dialog box.

After you create a detailed view, you can change many of these properties from the various categories of the Drawing View .

You can inherit the breaks applied on the main onto the derived view by selecting the Inherit breaks from main to derived view option.
