When the Insert Curve on Surface check box or the High quality approximation check box under More Options are selected, the Keep all arcs check box gets displayed if small spans are detected in the resulting curves. The Keep all arcs option enables you to manage the small spans that might be included in the resulting curve, so that all original discontinuities are maintained.

• When the check box is checked, all spans are included in the resulting curve (including the possible small spans).
• When the check box is cleared, small spans will be ignored in the resulting curve.
