PARTsolutionserror-file:DeleteMe.htmImport from PARTdataManager Catalog

The Import from PARTdataManager Catalog command enables you to add a 3D part to the current model.

When you execute the command, the program starts CADENAS PARTdataManager™ that enables you to select the part to import.
After you have selected the part, click ExportExport to CAD System. This action moves CADENAS PARTdataManager™ to the background and starts the import of the part in model. The next step consist in placing the part.

The command selection list features the following options:
Placement Select from the drop-down list the placement criterium:
  • Free
This only requires you to select the insertion point of the part. After you have defined the insertion point of the part, you are enabled to change its position or orientation by means of the positioning handles. Refer to the Move/Copy command for information on how to use the positioning handles in order to place the part.
  • Assisted
This is available only for those parts in the catalog (for example many common screws and nuts) that have the data to assist you in selecting the elements necessary to the correct placement in the model. When this method is active, the selection list displays the Face and Hole/Axis selectors that assist you in placing the part.
Note that if you later use Replace Object, the program uses these same constraints for the placement of the new part.
Point Available when Placement is set to Free, enables you to define the placement point in you model.
Face Available when Placement is set to Assisted, enables you to select a face in your model. This is one of the steps required to place the part.
