The Part List command selection list features the following options: |
Mode |
Enables you to select how you want the Part List to be displayed or saved. Select from the drop-down list one of the following options:
- Insert into document
(Drawing environment only) To insert the Part List as a table format.
- Show in spreadsheet
(Model environment only) To display the Part List as a dialog box.
- Save to CSV file
To save the contents of the Part List into a ".csv" file which you can later open with Microsoft® Excel or another compatible editor.
The fields in the Part List ".csv" file are separated by a comma. In order to open the file without formatting issues, make sure that the List separator character in the Regional and Language options of your Control Panel is set to comma. |

File path |
Available when you set Mode to Save to CSV file, this option enables you to define path and name of the ".csv" file. Click the option to open a file selection box in order to specify the ".csv" file path. |
Position |
(Drawing environment only) Available when you insert a Part List inside a document where none is present. Enables to define the position of the table in the drawing. Drag the table and click into position.
If a Part List is already present in the drawing, a small red square handle appears on the table and allows you to drag the table and click into position. |
Item Position Property |
(Model environment only) Enables you to set how the item position numbers are attributed to the components.
- Start From
Set the value from which the numbering will start.
- Step
Set the value of the step between two consecutively attributed numbers.
- Same item position for same part number
Allows you to force components sharing the same part number to have the same Item Position value.

Part List Spreadsheet |
(Model environment only) Make the Part List spreadsheet visible or not.
The down arrow button on the top left corner opens several selection options:
- Select all components
Select all the components in the Part List.
- Select components without Part Number
Select all the components in the Part List that have no Part Number.
- Invert selection
All the components that were not selected are selected. The components selected previously are not selected anymore.
The View type combo box allow you to switch between Edit view and
BOM view:
- Edit
In this view mode, all Parts are listed separately and their properties can be edited.
- BOM
In this view mode, a preview of the Bill Of Material (BOM) is displayed, similar components are grouped (depending on the Sorting option).

Options |
Displays the Part List Options dialog box that enables you to review and change the properties of the Part List and of its representation. |
Options Shortcuts |
Available when you set Mode to Insert into document, this option enables you to define the following parameters:
- Table origin
(Drawing environment only) The origin of the table being positioned in the drawing. Select from the drop-down list the combination Left/Center/Right and Top/Middle/Bottom that suits your needs. The default setting is defined in the Part List Options.
- Sorting order
Select from the drop-down list the sorting order of the Part List table. The default sorting order and the sorting field are defined in the Part List Options.
- Hierarchy level
If the document has a hierarchy structure, allows to choose the level of components to work on.
- All — all levels are considered.
- Leaf — the leaf level components of the selected components are considered.
- Extend to
(Drawing environment only) Select from the drop-down list the position of the extension Part List tables with respect to the first one. Extension tables are added when the Part List exceeds the specified maximum number of rows.
- Configuration settings
Enables you to switch between different configurations saved in the library.
